Karen McLean has been pre-occupied with the vernacular architecture of the Caribbean for some time, the persistence of this architectural form that evolved from slavery bears witness to the perpetuation of poverty. As the 15 heads of states from the Caribbean region prepare to approach Europe for reparations Mc Lean examines the strategies that global institutions of power use which enable the continued domination of first world countries.
